Maidstone Literary Festival
On Thursday 10th October, 12 year 8 students were invited to attend Maidstone Literary Festival to hear Joseph Coelho (Waterstone’s Children’s Laureate 2022-24) discuss what inspired him to become an author and share some of his great works. He read exciting excerpts from a range of his texts and gave students time to practice skills he uses as a published author. At the end, some students met Joseph to get their copies of his work signed. Students were, once again, great advocates for TLS so well done to all who joined!
Don’t forget, our Scholastic book fair begins on Monday! Students can visit to browse and purchase a range of books each break and lunch (card only). We will also be opening up to parents on Thursday afternoon 3.30-4.30 so please feel free to sign in at reception if you want to visit and stock up for Christmas.
