Author visit - Paul Cree
On Wednesday, Year 7 and some Year 8s were thrilled to meet poet Paul Cree and learn about how writing only takes ideas, opinions, and feelings! Even if we struggle with handwriting or spelling, poetry can allow us to express ourselves! Paul recited a couple of his rather funny poems and used our ideas to create a poem on the spot (he even shared a rap to round things off in the end). Engagement and enthusiasm from students was infectious and it would be great to hear or see some of our students’ poetry over the coming months.
