Read all about it
Well done to our students who have read the most words in years 7, 8 and 9 throughout Term 1.
All students in Key Stage 3 must have a book that they read at school. When they complete that book, they log their achievement through the Accelerated Reader Programme.
Last term, Alex in Year 7, Isabella in Year 8, and Oscar in Year 9 had the highest word counts in their year group (managing nearly 250,000 words between them!). Today they were invited to meet Mr. Davies and Ms. Kenny Purcell to receive their prize of a free book and to discuss their love of reading. They found out they Isabella loves David Walliams and that Alex and Oscar love to read in their spare time to relax.
We hope that they enjoy their prizes and look forward to see how many words students will be reading this term.
