Students celebrate top grades and exciting destinations at The Lenham School
Students at The Lenham School are celebrating an excellent set of Level 3 results, with outstanding individual achievements and students progressing to a wide range of university courses, apprenticeships and future careers.
Among the standout performers was Ryan S, who achieved a double Distinction* in Business alongside Distinctions in Applied Science and Film and Television Production. Ryan will now progress to Brunel University London to study Banking and Finance.
James VD also achieved the very highest grades, securing double Distinction* in Film and Television Production alongside a Distinction in Health and Social Care. James will continue his studies at Canterbury Christ Church University, where he will study Operating Department Practice, preparing for a career as an Operating Department Practitioner within healthcare.
There was further success for Mia W, who achieved double Distinction* in Sport and a Distinction in Film and Television Production. Mia will now head to the UKC to study Sport and Exercise Science.
Siana C secured an impressive Distinction* in Health and Social Care alongside Distinctions in Applied Science and Film and Television Production. She will progress to Chichester University to study Business Psychology.
Other excellent results included Rihanna M, who achieved Distinction* in Health and Social Care and Distinction* Distinction in Sport, while Matilda B and Lewis P both achieved Distinction* Distinction in Film and Television Production.
Students also secured strong outcomes across combinations of Level 3 qualifications. Ed C achieved double Distinction in both Business and Film and Television Production and will study Business and Marketing at the University of Kent.
Danny W achieved Distinction* Distinction in Film and Television Production alongside double Distinction in Business and will also progress to the University of Kent, where he will study Software Engineering.
The school's Sixth Form continues to support a range of pathways beyond university. Freddie W, who achieved double Merit in both Sport and Business, has secured an Accounting Apprenticeship with Trinity Accounting Services. Freddie's success follows a work experience placement with the company during Year 12, which developed into the opportunity to begin his career with the firm after completing Sixth Form.
The individual successes form part of a strong overall picture for vocational Level 3 qualifications at The Lenham School. Across 87 vocational entries, 55.2% of grades were at Distinction or Distinction* level, 95.4% were at Merit or above and every entry achieved at least a Pass. The school's vocational Average Grade was Distinction.
The Lenham School's overall vocational APS compares favourably with the latest national picture.

"Results Day is ultimately about our young people, and we are incredibly proud of what they have achieved. Behind every grade is a student who has worked hard, overcome challenges and committed themselves to their studies.
It is wonderful to see students achieving some of the very highest grades available, but what makes today particularly special is seeing where those achievements are taking them next. Our students are progressing to exciting university courses in areas including finance, education, healthcare, business and software engineering, while others are moving directly into high-quality apprenticeships.
These destinations reflect what we want for every student who joins our Sixth Form: a programme of study that enables them to succeed academically while preparing them properly for life beyond school.
